I have always been an athlete and I was always someone who did a lot of reading and researching about fitness. I was doing muscle group based split workouts – certain body parts each day – and I was in decent shape but to be honest I wasn’t changing much anymore. From what I read, I didn’t really think there was another more efficient way to get results. I was starting to get some aches and pains here and there and I had goals to improve my mobility and strength but I also had a fairly demanding work schedule. I didn’t want to waste my time. I was looking for something that was new and something better.
I knew Nancy was a Trainer so I decided to talk to her in the weight room one day. I’m not going to lie – in my first conversation I was pretty skeptical so I grilled her. She gave me answers based on science not opinion. She said I should come and try a Group Training class and even though I wasn’t convinced, I gave it a shot. That class is a serious workout! I’m not kidding – I couldn’t believe how much work it was to do that whole body circuit! I left there smoked!
I’ve been going three days a week for the last year and a half. In the first seven months of training I added 22 pounds of muscle to my body and lost 14 pounds of fat. I’m a brick now. I’m no longer a right-side dominant athlete. My left side is just as strong. I play basketball with guys that are ten years younger than me and I destroy them! To have the physique and the capability of someone who is that much younger than me and to go out and dominate when I play sports because I take this class, well that’s worth it to me. And I can’t say enough about the group of people I train with. It really is a family atmosphere – there is a lot of respect in the room. Great people but no one competes with anyone but their own self. I’m in the best shape of my life. It has changed my mind set in the best way. I highly recommend this to everyone.
